The crash occurred at 2am on Sunday, May 12, at the Royal Financial area.

The trailer, en route to Kitengela from Isinya, failed to maintain its lane, resulting in a head-on collision with the Prado.

The impact of the collision caused the Prado to veer off the road and land in a ditch on the left side, according to TV47.

Reportedly, 48-year-old Geoffrey Gekara, a passenger in the Prado, sustained severe head injuries and bruises on both hands.

Gekara was promptly rushed to St Paul’s Hospital for medical attention, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Authorities were alerted to the scene, and swift action was taken to mitigate the potential hazard posed by leaking gas from the trailer, a Mercedes Actros.
