According to Kenya News, Muthoni revealed that at 3am., during her routine prayer session, flash floods knocked down her house, sweeping everyone away.
She said the kids cried for help as water washed them downstream.
"'Please save me', the children wailed for help, but all efforts to do so failed," she recounted the last words from the little angels.
She added:
"My family had decided to stay together after the meeting ended late that night, unaware of the danger that lurked in the darkness. Why did it have to occur that day?"
The traumatised granny was rushed to the Naivasha Level IV hospital, where she received treatment.
The late eight family members will be laid to rest today at the Longonot Cemetery, and a photo of their eulogy book has moved Kenyans to tears.
Kenyans have taken to social media to console Muthoni, and below are their messages:

TUKO.co.ke reported that John Mwangi Mwaura, a survivor, was still picking up the pieces after he lost eight family members in the disaster that left his wife, Muthoni, hospitalised.
Mwaura's family expressed gratitude to the national government for giving them accommodation after the tragedy.
Mary Njoru, a survivor, explained that their only prayer would be to see their deceased buried in their rural home.
