His daughter Abigael and his adopted mum eulogised the late journalist with touching tributes.
The family of the late Oyier eulogised him beautifully, and his brother Peter Oyier, with his spouse and kids, left mourners weeping.
Peter's kids could not help but shed tears at the podium while holding onto their parents for support.
Oyier's father-in-law Mukhisa Kituyi and Azimio leaders such as Raila Odinga, Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga, and Ali Hassan Joho were among those present.
When the body of the late journalist was taken to his burial site, his kids, nephews and nieces could not contain their pain.
They wailed uncontrollably, and they were comforted by the adults.
Oyier touched many lives in his lifetime and will be remembered as a father, husband, brother and friend.
The late journalist, in an old clip, talked of his struggles with depression, revealing that it left him a shell of his former self.
In the video, the journalist encouraged those diagnosed with depression, affirming that it gets better with time.
