In the image shared by journalist Abdikarim Hussein, Captain Sora was captured assisting a pregnant woman during the floods.

His dedication to serving others in times of crisis led him to participate in rescue missions, saving lives and assisting those affected.

"He was among the pilots flying choppers during the rescue missions in 2023. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un," Hussein mourned.

Chopper accident claimed 9 lives

However, the soldier's love for flying became his tragic end as he died in a helicopter crash in West Pokot.

The accident claimed the lives of Captain Mohamed Karro Sora and eight others, including General Francis Ogolla, the Chief of Defence Forces.

Following news of the tragic crash, Kenyans expressed shock and sadness on social media, mourning the loss of the other victims.
