A woman, the wife to one of the siblings who perished with them, was laid to rest at her parents' home days earlier.
The siblings' distraught mother narrated that the trio visited her on Mother's Day, which they spent in the company of their father.
She revealed that upon their arrival, she prepared them tea, after which they shared the snacks they had carried.
They later partook in lunch before she saw them off later in the evening.
The trio boarded a motorcycle to Murang'a, where they lived.
They were to inform their parents of their arrival but did not do so, arousing their anxiety and curiosity.
It did not take long before the matriarch's daughter phoned her, asking her to rush to Murang'a town, given that she had heard some telling, though disturbing, rumours.
She obliged, and it was after arrival at a Murang'a hospital that she learned of the devastating loss.
The woman was taken to the hospital's morgue where the bodies of the three -her sons and a daughter-in-law- were lying.
She was informed that the trio perished in a crash after their boda boda was hit by a vehicle.
