Nairobi - Makadara residents breathed a sigh of relief as three suspected notorious thieves met their end in a swift operation early this morning.
The trio, accused of frequent phone snatching, were fatally shot on Lusaka Road on Wednesday, May 22.
Makadara sub-county police chief, Judy Kola, reported that the suspects were intercepted by security personnel while in the act of robbing commuters, including those heading to work in the Industrial Area, as Citizen Digital reported.

Kola stated that the police had to accelerate their search for the suspected thieves after they allegedly stole KSh 12,000 and a gold chain from an Indian national before disappearing into the Mukuru slums on Monday, May 20.
During the operation, a Ceska firearm and multiple rounds of ammunition were seized by the authorities.
Following the incident, the police promptly processed the crime scene and transferred the bodies to the city mortuary for further investigation.
In another robbery incident, former Laikipia North member of parliament Matthew Lempurkel was attacked by three thugs on a motorbike and assaulted at the gate to his residence in Rongai.
He was reportedly hit on the head with a blunt object, his two mobile phones stolen and an undisclosed amount of money stolen.
However, when his night guards came out to respond to the altercations, the suspected armed thieves fled the scene.
He was rushed to Nairobi Women's Hospital where he was attended to and discharged.
