Kitengela: Form 2 Student Abducted By Boda Boda Rider Rescued

• The cobbler, who was occupied, asked the girl to pick her shoes the following day, which she obliged
• On Tuesday, May 9, the boda boda rider went behind the girl's back and picked her shoes at the cobbler without her knowledge

Reprieve for a family in Kitengela after their daughter who had gone missing was found after a four-day search.

The girl was reported missing after leaving to visit a cobbler for shoe repairs in preparation for the school's reopening on Monday, May 13.

According to a report done by Citizen Digital, the 16-year-old girl was found locked up inside the suspect's house.

How was Kitengela girl abducted?

Police said that the girl boarded the suspect's motorbike to reach a cobbler to repair her school shoes.

The cobbler, however, had a lot of shoes to repair and asked the lady to pick up her shoes the following day on Tuesday May 9.

The minor reportedly said the man went to pick her up the following day, saying that her shoes were done.

Little did the girl know she was falling into a trap as the boda rider had already picked the shoe on the girl's behalf.

The minor added that while on the way, the man told her that he had picked the shoes on her and if she wanted them she should go with him to his house.

Upon reaching the house, the man pulled her into the house confiscated her phone and switched it off.

How was Kitengela girl rescued?

According to the police, the girl managed to take her phone while the suspect was in the bathroom enabling her to take pictures of her surroundings and sent them to her mother.

The picture was later on used by the police to trace the girl who was found locked up in the suspects house.

The suspect had, however, gone to work. The girl was taken to the hospital where tests will be done.

The suspect was arrested awaiting arraignment in court.

Kirinyaga boda boda living with 2 students arrested

Earlier on, residents of Kerugoya, Kirinyaga county, reeled from shock after a boda boda rider was busted living with two female students who had gone missing.

The students, identified as sisters, reportedly vanished from their residence a month ago.

Upon discovering that the man was cohabitating with the students, angry residents gathered at his home, seeking explanations.
