Residents of Kariobangi, Nairobi County, found humour in the face of flooding that submerged their neighbourhood on Tuesday night, April 23.

In the footage, residents could be heard playfully remarking that their inundated neighbourhood resembled the famed River Nzoia or River Yala.
"Hii ni Nairobi, hi sio River Nzoia ama River Yala, hii ni Nairobi, Kariobangi Estate," quipped one resident.
Injecting further levity into the scene, another resident humorously suggested that the late General Francis Ogolla was shedding tears over the flooding.
"General Ogolla ameamua kulia," joked the resident, drawing laughter from onlookers amidst the watery landscape.
As they navigate the aftermath of the deluge, their shared sense of humour serves as a beacon of hope in the face of nature's unpredictability.
