A Nairobi resident identified as Anne Wangari Kangema and her family are in pain after they discovered the raging floods swept away their dad.
In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Anne shared that her dad, who was a hustler, was walking home after a day of hard work when he fell into a drainage hole on the side of the road in Saika, Kang'undo Road.
According to the young woman, they looked for their dad everywhere and then visited mortuaries to see if he was there.

"We got him in Thika; he had been booked into a mortuary and that's when we learnt that he was a victim of the floods," said Anne.
"Thank you everyone, for the love, support, and encouragement and for reposting the video...God intervened, and we found my dad's body after searching everywhere. The burial will be on Friday, 10, 2024, so if you would like to help me and the family, we would really appreciate it," she added.

In another story, Julia Wanjiku was in distress as she shared how her husband tried to save their young son, but sadly, he was overpowered by the water.
According to the young mum, little Isaac, aka Izo, was celebrating his third birthday and only had cake but refused to eat anything else.
Up to now, the family is yet to find the body of the beloved son despite their spirited efforts to look for him around the area.
