Nairobi - A woman who lost her child and husband in the span of a few months has opened up about her challenges.
Faith Nthure Kimathi was married to Daniel Njoroge, who was a hardworking electrician and loving father.
Njoroge was the breadwinner of his family as his wife was unemployed, leaving him with the burden of providing for her and their young ones.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, a heartbroken Nthure emotionally recalled the last time she saw her husband alive.
"He had been called for some work at Kahawa Wendani by a friend who could not make it as he was already occupied. Njoroge was asked to check on an electric water pump. Unfortunately, that day, it was raining heavily, and while he was working, he was struck to death by electricity. He was taken to Kenyatta University Mortuary and Funeral Home, and burial plans began," she narrated.
The heartbreaking event happened a few months after the family lost their nine-month-old child.
The baby got unwell at 2am and was taken to hospital by the worried parents but unfortunately passed away while undergoing treatment.
Nthure, from Nairobi, said she had barely mourned the death of her child, who passed away in November 2023, before her hubby died.
"We buried him a few days ago, and now I am at my in-laws. Life has become hard, and I am stranded. I would want to start a business to care for my two boys, one of whom is in school. I am so hurt and stressed. I want help," she said.
In another story, Rose Otieno pleaded for help to secure a job to take care of her deceased sister's twins and her family.
The single mother of two disclosed that she had been taking care of the twins, who were one year and three months old, since their birth.
She lamented the unpleasant situation that had led to a clash between her and their rental house manager because of an unsettled house rent debt of KSh 15,000.
