Renowned Nairobi-based preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari has sparked mixed reactions after his sentiments on supporting and defending the LGBTQ+ community members in the country.

The man of God also claimed that many single mothers were being affected in Central while listing places he believed to have the highest number of single mums.

Why Pastor Kanyari is blasting deadbeat dads

In his live TikTok video, Kanyari added that the LGBTQ+ community should be helped rather than judged.

In his words:

"I have come to defend all the gays in Kenya. Please, if you do not want people to be gay or homosexual does not mean you should do something else other than helping them mentally and giving them projects so that they can continue with their lives. No one wants to be gay intentionally or a single mother."

According to Kanyari, most single mums in the central part of Kenya hail from Nyeri, Kiambu, Murang'a, and Karatina, and cannot be compared to other places in the country.

He also accused Kikuyu men of shying off from responsibilities after impregnating women, which was a big contributor to single motherhood in Central.

"Kikuyu men do not want to work with their own hands; they only want to sleep and dress nicely, yet they have no money," he added.

"Christians really know nothing about the bible. Jesus came to preach to the sinners, and that's why he associated with them. That's what Kanyari is doing."

Kanyari warns congregation against watching his TikTok

The man of God recently discussed social media platform TikTok with his congregants while warning them to stay off it.

Despite spending quite some time on the platform, the veteran preacher warned his believers against watching him on TikTok.

He also did not want them to see him on the platform while advising them to keep watching their church television.
