"I am Teddy, (42), a police officer from Eldoret. I have been married for two years, but in the past few months, I discovered my wife was cheating with two different men. I took a loan of KSh 2.5 million for our wedding and paid KSh 600,000 for her dowry. She is a primary school teacher and doesn't help me with bills. Despite my little salary, I have been struggling to pay the loan and whenever I start a side business for her, she squanders the profit with her family. I have caught her thrice red-handed in our matrimonial bed with her two lovers, and since then, my self-esteem has gone down. She mistreats me and doesn't respect me even before our children. I have tried talking to her, but she doesn't want to change. I have talked to my parents, who were against the relationship from the word go because she is from a different tribe, and they advised me to leave her, but I don't want my kids to suffer.Should I divorce her and stay in the marriage for the sake of the kids, or what should I do? I have seen so many cases of men turning on their partners, and I don't want it to get there."

Can I divorce when partner is cheating?

She was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband, Jack Bamboo, over infidelity claims.

Relationship coach and expert Jane Murimi advised the promiscuous woman to stop having affairs, claiming she might be endangering her life.

Murimi said the relationship was not healthy, advising the man to divorce and seek custody of their kids.

"He feels they are threatened with strange men coming to his house. Two years is a short period in marriage to start engaging in obnoxious behaviours as a married woman. The fact that she's bringing men to her matrimonial home means she doesn't care about her children's mental wellness as well. Let him start all over again. Better safe than sorry" she said.

She added:

"It's a painful decision to make, but to avert possible murder or suic*de, let him keep off completely."

She opined that Teddy paying a loan he took to give his partner her dream wedding and then later starting to disrespect him was very painful.

"Let him assume that the KSh 2.5 m loan he took he was robbed or burnt down. He gets ready to let go and start all over again," she said.
