Azimio coalition leader Raila Odinga has expressed his heartfelt condolences to General Francis Ogolla who perished in a chopper crash in Elgeyo Marakwet.
In a statement, Odinga expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the fallen general.
He further showered Ogolla with praises referring to him as a true patriot and a professional who served Kenya with undying dedication.

" My wife Ida and I are deeply saddened and profoundly shocked by the passing of General. Francis Ogolla, the Chief of Defence Forces. Gen. Ogolla was a true patriot, a highly decorated soldier, and a consummate professional who served our country with unwavering dedication," he said.
He also offered his condolences to the families of the Kenya Defence Forces officers who passed away with General Ogolla.
" We know that at this moment words will not be enough to console your tremendous grief. We pray the Lord may give you comfort," he said.
While confirming their demise, the head of state paid a moving tribute to the fallen heroes.
Ruto said the loss was very painful to him and the entire state as the gallant soldiers headed by General Ogolla were on a state mission.
He disclosed that the plane had recently taken off when it crashed and erupted in flames as the soldiers were en route to inspect various schools in the North Rift region in preparation for schools reopening.
