While addressing a rally on April 16, Methu appeared to be taken aback by the residents' request, asking them why he should pay for their gift to Sifuna.
" Is the chicken mine or Sifuna's? Now, because Sifuna has taken the chicken, who should pay, me or Sifuna?" Methu questioned.

Methu is then seen giving the chicken to Sifuna who accepts it.
The senator later agreed to pay for the chicken so that Sifuna could enjoy it and be energised for their next meeting in parliament.
"I should pay? Because he is my visitor?" Methu posed.
All this while, Sifuna is seen nodding his head in agreement with the residents who demanded Methu pay for the chicken.
The Nairobi senator later took to his socials to express gratitude to the people of Nyandarua for their gift.
"The people of Ol Kalou saved my chicken today. Thank you so much," Sifuna said
