Ahead of her final journey, the deceased's grief-stricken family gathered at the funeral home as they prepared to carry her body.
Wegesha's mum was overcome with grief as she wailed about how she struggled to bring up her daughter.
She broke down into a traditional funeral dirge known as 'gueyo' as the body was slowly ushered into a hearse.
Two ladies helped her throughout the period as the body was being moved away from the funeral home.
Hundreds of Nairobi residents trooped to Umoja estate's Tena Grounds to view the body of the late Sheila.
A video shared by Jano the Governor, showed people who had gathered at the venue to view the body, and many of them still had looks of disbelief and sorrow on their faces.
A night vigil with music was also held for the late businesswoman, where people sang and danced.
Another story revealed that Sheila Wegesha will be buried at the home of her first husband according to Luo traditions.
Her nephew, Jano, said the beautiful woman will be buried at Nyalkinyi village, Kanyada, in Homa Bay county after her first husband agreed to bury her despite their separation.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Jano also shared that the first husband earned the right to bury her because he had paid dowry, and Bamboo was considered a boyfriend because he allegedly hadn't paid anything.
