Renowned media personality Olive Burrows is the latest addition to the Citizen TV family.

Citizen TV reporter Stephen Letoo announced on social media on Monday, May 13, that he was delighted to have her join the premier channel.

Letoo commended Burrows’s expertise and expressed the team’s eagerness for her first appearance.

"True woman Olive Kalekye Burrows welcome to the biggest news planet Citizen TV Kenya. Our 22 million viewers at night and 12 million viewers during the day can't wait to see your infectious smile on their screens," he wrote.

Burrows, who joined Nation Media Group in May 2018 from Capital FM, is set to replace Victoria Rubadiri, who has moved on to CNN to serve as an African correspondent.

How did Olive Burrows bid farewell to NTV?

Burrows bid farewell to NTV on Wednesday, May 8, concluding a six-year chapter.

Her former colleagues at the media outlet located on Kimathi Street shared heartfelt and moving tributes, underscoring the influence she had during her tenure.

Olive was visibly moved by the outpouring of affection from her colleagues.

She expressed her gratitude to NMG for the opportunity they provided at the start of her career and reflected on her journey.

She noted that she had made solid friendships during her time at NMG.

Victoria Rubadiri's new role at CNN

As we previously told you, CNN International expressed its excitement in welcoming Rubadiri to its team.

She will co-host the 30-minute monthly show Connecting Africa alongside Eleni Giokos.

The international news network reported that Rubadiri would be 'telling the stories of emerging and expanding businesses across Africa and exploring the impacts of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement'.

Rubadiri also confirmed the news on Instagram with a simple caption.
