Uasin Gishu: Boda Boda Riders Feared Dead After Heavy Truck Rammed Into Them

• A heavy truck on a highway in Turbo, Uasin Gishiu county, led to fatalities and injuries after crashing into boda boda riders
• Amateur videos captured at the scene displayed the overturned truck on the ground as the victims trapped in the wreck strived to crawl out of the scene
• Some riders were confirmed dead, with many others having sustained severe injuries after the crash

Uasin Gishu: Several fatalities were reported out of an accident on Thursday, April 11, in the Magut area near Turbo.

A heavy truck rammed into a group of boda boda riders before it overturned and lay sideways beside the road.

Amateur videos captured at the scene showed victims trapped inside the truck, and onlookers tasking themselves with helping them out.

One of the victims was badly injured on the feet.

According to reports, several riders died on the spot.
