A video of a hilarious phone conversation between the fallen Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) general Francis Ogolla and a Kenya Defence Forces soldier (KDF) Timothy Mulati has resurfaced.

In the clip, Ogolla who appeared to be standing before a crowd is seen reassuring the soldier by telling him not be worried as he was calling him for a good reason.

"We ni Timothy Mulati? si mimi na nakuambia mimi ni CDF. Nakupigia simu, kwa uzuri si kwa ubaya (Are you Timothy Mulati? I am telling you that I am the CDF and I am calling you for a good reason),"Ogolla said.

The KDF soldier who was put on loudspeaker was heard on the other end of the call expressing disbelief on why someone so senior would be calling him.

" Eeeh, CDF natoana wapi na yeye (Why would I be called by the CDF?)," ," a petrified Mulati interjected.

Mulati's disbelief made the entire crowd burst into a series of laughter.

Kenyans react to Francis Ogolla's video call

The video sparked a lot of reactions from netizens as some awed at Ogolla's humility and sense of humour as others wondered how Mulati felt upon the news of the demise of the fallen general.

When is Francis Ogolla's burial?

Ogolla will be laid to rest on Sunday, April 21.

His family shared that the burial rites would be per his will, in which he stipulated that he be buried within 72 hours after his demise.

Ogolla will be buried at his home in Ng'iya, Alego Usonga, Siaya County, as specified in a programme spotted by TUKO.co.ke.
