Vihiga County Commissioner Chases Away Youths Asking For Water At His Function: "Enda Kunywa Kwenu"

• Felix Watakila struggled to get the people of Vihiga county to listen to his speech, repeatedly urging them to be quiet

A video has emerged showing Vihiga County Commissioner Felix Watakila condemning youths for asking for water during his speech.

What happened during Felix Watakila's speech

In the video, Watakila speaks to the crowd about the widespread issue of teenage pregnancies in the area.

He urged the residents to work together to deal with the menace that has been affecting school girls.

However, the crowd he addressed seemed unsettled, with some people moving around and others requesting drinking water.

The County Commissioner became angered by the chaos during the event, prompting him to order people to respect him and remain silent while he spoke.

"Let the one making noise come and say what I had to say. I don't want to hear people talking. That's stupidity," he said.

He also urged the police and chiefs present to take control of the crowd, as he repeatedly asked people to listen to him.

"Those asking for water go and drink water at your home...I am speaking on behalf of the president," he added.

Kipchumba Murkomen heckled by crowd

Earlier, in November last year, Roads CS Kipchumba Murkomen was heckled as he attempted to address Baringo residents.

The Transport CS had attended a football tournament at Kabarnet Showgrounds in Baringo county.

The organisers had invited Murkomen to say a few words to the thousands of residents who had turned up to witness the football event.

However, as soon as the CS greeted the crowd, the audience started heckling, refusing to calm down to let Murkomen speak.

In the video, that went viral on social media, the frustrated crowd could be heard chanting, 'Ruto must go..Ruto must go. Ruto must go' as the CS was making his address.

Murkomen was forced to leave the podium unceremoniously as the crowd continued to shout at him.
