In a stroke of unexpected fortune, Stephen Chogo Visendi from Vihiga has become the latest millionaire in Kenya after winning KSh 10 million.

The family man, who resides in a modest mabati house in Kitengela, won the life-changing amount through SportPesa Goal Rush.

Recounting his path to victory, Visendi recalled the memorable Sunday he gambled on the free matches.

"I looked at the teams at stake, and one of them was Barcelona, which I was sure would win," he expressed.

After the matches concluded, Visendi checked the app and saw the blue ticks, confirming his correct predictions.

How will Visendi spend the money?

He disclosed that news of his newfound wealth shocked him as he didn't expect it.

"I started counting the zeros and knew I was a millionaire," he remarked, still in disbelief.

Visendi crooned to Jemimah Thiong'o's Akisema Atakubariki (When God says He will bless you) song after receiving his dummy cheque.

The windfall has opened up new opportunities as he plans to invest the money wisely.

His first point of focus is reviving a cereals business he had been running but closed down due to cash flow problems.

In addition to reviving his business, Visendi looks forward to owning property and ensuring a secure future for himself and his family.

Kajiado man wins KSh 11 million

Elsewhere, Kajiado businessman Patrick Nyakuni is KSh 11,173,683 million richer after winning SportPesa Mega Jackpot Bonuses.

The 29-year-old predicted his way into the millions after successfully pooling together different bet combinations.

According to a statement by the betting company, Nyakuni registered with SportPesa in 2016 and has reaped his highest-ever win since joining.

The father of two came short of winning the life-changing amount that would have made him the biggest jackpot winner the country has ever seen.
