1. Luo Gospel artist Florence Roberts dies after short illness

Beloved Luo gospel music artiste Florence Roberts sadly died. According to reports, Roberts died in the hospital after a short illness.

Roberts is famously known for worship hits such as Kik Ikala, which touched many people. The songstress was hailed for her ability to sing and make people worship God in a beautiful way.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Roberts' sister in Christ from Barikiwa Music Centre, confirmed the development via phone.

TUKO.co.ke was also privy to a video that showed the body of the musician lying in the hospital with grieving relatives surrounding it.

It was also confirmed by Wuod Fibi, the founder of the Centre.

"A general has rested.This one is so sad. Rest well, my sister Florence Robert; your songs will forever be a blessing to many generations to come," he said on his Fcaebook page.

2. Micheal Oyier's daughter moves mourners with glowing tribute

The late Michael Oyier's daughter, Abigael, moved mourners after she said Michael was her best friend since day one.

Abigael, who was speaking at the former KTN news anchor's requiem mass, remembered how her dad used to take her to meetings and errands.

She said that at first, she didn't understand what impact it would have on her, and that she wouldn't be where she was in its absence.

"He would take me to his bible study every Monday. I never knew that time would impact my journey with God as it has. I remember the multiple car rides I would have with dad to school, home, Homabay and the deep talks about life and little jokes that would last from point A to B," she said.

Abigail was also happy that her dad finally married his wife and got the life he always wanted, as well as help taking care of the kids.

3. Kind-hearted Kenyans rally support to help struggling TikToker

In a heartwarming display of community support, friends visited TikToker Alice Chebet, affectionately known as Kienyeji Pro Max, at her home in Kipchiria, Mt Elgon.

Led by philanthropist Irene Cheptap Oret, the group was deeply moved by Chebet's story and has launched an initiative to provide her with a better education opportunity.

Chebet, the eldest in her family and a Form Two student in a local day school, had shared details about her humble background.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including a one-hour trek to school each way due to a lack of nearby educational facilities, she remains determined to pursue her education.

However, insecurity in the area has led to her missing school days.

Speaking about her challenges, Chebet expressed gratitude for her father's hard work and the support she has received from her social media family since last year.

4. King Roso gifts Baba Talisha 10 lions during TikTok live

What started as a move to tarnish Baba Talisha's name has become a blessing in disguise.

For the better part of the weekend, the TikToker was dragged on social media for allegedly embezzling Brian Chira's funeral funds.

This was after Chira's grandmother accused him of failing to submit the KSh 8 million to the bereaved family.

"As you can see, all these are statements from the bank showing the vendors we paid during the funeral," he said, showing the documents.

Baba Talisha went live on TikTok to submit the evidence and clear his name, unaware that luck awaited him.

In a surprising turn of events, the enigmatic benefactor known as King Roso gifted him ten lions as gratitude for accountability.

Yes, you read that correctly—10 majestic lions! On TikTok, a flower is worth about KSh 5, a lion is KSh 40,000, while the universe translates to KSh 60,000.

5. Kericho MCA marries second wife in colourful ceremony

Kunyak ward in Kericho county was filled with pomp and glamour after the area member of the county assembly married a beautiful second wife in a big ceremony.

Simon Kipsenende Koskei, who was smartly dressed in a dark blue pair of trousers, a white shirt with blue detail and a brown hat, looked happy during the highly anticipated occasion.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, a resident identified as Oriop Kipsil shared that the second wife, identified as Tracy Bitok, was Kipsenende's secretary, and the two fell in love and decided to get married.

"In a rare occurrence, the first wife identified as Mercy Koskei, participated in choosing the second wife and welcoming her at home," said Oriop.
