Billionaire Red Sox Owner John W. Henry Lists Florida Mansion For $15 Million

John W. Henry is the billionaire owner of multiple high-profile entities, including the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Globe, and the Liverpool Football Club. But he's hoping to relinquish his ownership of one slightly smaller property, a Florida mansion that he's recently put on the market for $15 million – which is a price cut of some $10 million, compared to his last asking price.

Forbes reports that Henry purchased the Boca Raton lot the home sits on back in 1991, for $650,000, going on to complete the mansion four years later. It sprawls over 41,000 square feet with seven bedrooms and 19 bathrooms, as well as a plethora of other custom personalized touches like a recording studio and a game room (complete with a Liverpool FC branded foosball table), which can make a home like this a bit trickier to sell. That's probably why he's had to cut his asking price down so much compared to when he first put it up for sale in the fall of last year for $25 million.

The home is known as Tashun and/or the "House of Peace," and was built with a diverse range of influences, primarily Asia and the Mediterranean region. One room exemplifies the latter influence by replicating an Italian-style trattoria with its own wood-burning pizza oven.

The lot also holds a guest house with its own two bedrooms, a tennis court, a swimming pool and pool house, and two motor courts. As Tashun's real estate listing itself puts it:
