On Thursday, August 22, Kagure said youths are right to demand accountability, transparency, and meaningful solutions to the country's issues.

The businesswoman said Kenya needs leaders who listen with the intention of finding solutions.

"Our young people have been clear in their calls for accountability, transparency, and meaningful solutions, and I agree with them. Now, more than ever, we need leadership that listens, understands, and focuses on solutions," Kagure said.

Kenyan youths under Generation Z have been putting pressure on the Kenya Kwanza government to initiate more reforms, some of which led to the recent reorganisation of the Cabinet.

Which MPs will support Gen Zs protests?

Elsewhere, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba among other MPs, pledged their support to the youth.

They confirmed their support for the upcoming protests planned by Gen Zs next week, stating that some of the issues they raised during previous demonstrations remain unaddressed.

Speaking to the press on Friday, August 16, Wamuchomba stated that Gen Zs should know they have the support of the country's Members of Parliament.

The Githunguri MP emphasised that MPs will no longer be intimidated by accusations of funding protests, inciting Gen Zs, or other related accusations.

Echoing Wamuchomba's sentiments, Babu stated that the people of Kenya are demanding the government to demonstrate the reforms being undertaken to enhance the competence of the country's leadership.
