LeBron James has set some rules for his son, Bronny, ahead of the 2024/25 season, during which they will play as teammates for the Los Angeles Lakers.

In the summer, Bronny was drafted by the Lakers with the 55th overall pick.

The veteran has said his son cannot call him 'dad' on the court and listed some names he would prefer.

Before Bronny was drafted, no father-son duo played simultaneously in the NBA, and fans are excited to see the youngster play with his dad.

James is heading to his seventh season at the Lakers, and at 39, he is nearing retirement. Last year, he expressed his desire to play with Bronny.

"I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny," per ESPN.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers star is entering his 22nd season in the NBA and will be chasing more history.

James sets rules for Bronny

James recently spoke about the dynamics of his son and him being on the court together.

We already laid that down. He cannot call me dad in the workplace. Once we leave out of the practice facility and the gates closed, I can be dad again... He gotta call me like 2.3., or Bron, or GOAT if he wants to. It's up to him," via The Shop.
"We cannot be running down the court, and he'd be like, 'Dad, push the ball up! Dad, I'm open! Dad, come on!'"

According to The Athletics's Shams Charania, Bronny signed a four-year $7.9 million rookie contract. It will be interesting to watch him play with his dad, considered the greatest player ever.

James declares himself NBA GOAT

TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that James declared himself the NBA GOAT after he shattered Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's long-standing scoring record.

The former Miami Heat forward said his contributions to the team make him feel like the best player ever.
