Police reportedly spent over 30 minutes attempting to break into the vehicle.
Due to the overpowering stench emanating from the car, officers had to spray the area to reduce the smell before gaining access.
Eyewitnesses told Mwananchi that they initially thought the vehicle was part of the regular stock of cars for sale.
However, suspicions grew after it remained parked in the same spot for days.
An eyewitness, Hamisi Hamadi, noted that the smell intensified in the afternoon, indicating something was wrong.
“At first, we thought a cat had died, but when houseflies began hovering over the car, we knew something was off,” Hamadi explained.
Police have since removed the body from the scene, launching an investigation into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death.
Further details regarding the victim's identity or cause of death remain unclear at the time of reporting.
