Delivery Guy Scolded By Customer For Arriving Late Found Dead

India: A family is in mourning after their 19-year-old kin, a delivery worker, was found dead in his home in the Kolathur area.

How did Pavithran die?

The young man, identified as J. Pavithran, was reportedly a BCom student at one of the country's tertiary institutions.

According to a report by the Times of India, Pavithran left a note stating that he was disheartened after a female client scolded him for the late delivery of groceries.

The police told the media outlet that the deceased delivered the groceries late because he had difficulty locating the client's house.

After finding the house following hours of searching, the client argued with him and reportedly filed a complaint with the company where Pavithran worked.

"Later, she raised a complaint with the delivery company and asked them not to send Pavithran again for delivery. We do not know what action was taken by the company," a police source said.

The Mirror reported that two days after the woman filed the complaint, the deceased threw a stone at her house, breaking a window pane.

"The woman lodged a complaint with police, and he was let off with a warning. A case has been filed and a probe is on," he said.

UoN lecturer found dead at home

Back in the country, police launched an investigation into the death of a University of Nairobi lecturer who was found dead at his rural home.

The body of Samwel Owino Mwanda was found at his compound on Thursday, September 19, in Kachola village, Kodera South location, in Rachuonyo South sub-county.

According to South Kodera Senior Chief Joseph Mboga, the university don had returned home from Nairobi, and his worker found him dead.

Homa Bay County Police Commander Hassan Barua said police found a ladder that the don could have climbed before harming himself and a note with his wife's mobile number.

The body was moved to the Rachuonyo South sub-county mortuary, awaiting postmortem.
