However, Trump claimed the Democrat candidate was seeking a second debate because she lost in their first encounter.

"When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, “I want a remarch.” Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate," Trump said on his social media page.

As reported by ABC News, Trump ruled out any other debate with Harris, arguing that the US vice president should have accepted an offer to debate on Fox News on September 4, or could've negotiated a second debate before the ABC News debate.

"She was a no-show at the Fox Debate and refused to do NBC and CBS. Kamala should focus on what she should have done during the last almost four year period. There will be no third debate," the Republican candidate said.

Did the 2024 US presidential debate live up to expectations?

In a fiery exchange, the US vice president took on the former president in the 2024 presidential debate.

The debate kicked off with a focus on the economy, a topic Trump seemed comfortable with during the first 10 minutes.

However, many observers drew parallels between Trump and sitting President Joe Biden, noting the former president's apparent fatigue as the debate progressed.

Harris skillfully turned the conversation toward Trump's controversial decisions, highlighting his legal challenges and ongoing criminal trials.
