Embakasi: Family, Friends Mourn MP's Bodyguard Found Dead In His House

• Owiti Oyuech, a police officer who was attached to Embakasi West MP Mark Mwenje, was sadly found dead in his house
• According to Mwenje, the officer was a warm soul who made them laugh, cheerful and was always ready to serve
• The young man was loved by so many other people who have bitterly mourned him on their social media handles as well

It is a dark day for the family and friends of Administration Police Owiti Oyuech, who was sadly found dead in his house.

Who was Owiti Oyuech attached to?

Owiti was the bodyguard of Embakasi West Member of Parliament (MP), Mark Mwenje, who also devastated by the sudden death.

According to Mwenje, the Parliamentary Service Commission assigned Owiti to him as a Close Protection Officer two years ago.

"I walked and worked with Owiti for many days and many nights in the line of duty. Owiti was a warm soul who made us laugh. He was cheerful and always ready to serve," he said.

"He revered his Islamic faith and was totally committed to Islam. May our prayers ease the pain of this loss. We shall miss him terribly. Rest in eternal peace, my friend," he added.

Beloved cop Sammy Ondimu Ngare, a close friend of Owiti, was so heartbroken and told TUKO.co.ke that he didn't know what triggered the turn of events in the gallant policeman's house.

"Why now? I don't know why it had to end like that. Safiri salama Course mate Owiti Oyuech," he said.

Owiti's body was transferred to City Mortuary, and being a Muslim, his burial will be tomorrow at his home village in Seme, Kisumu county.

Nairobi cop stabbed to death

In August 2024, an Administration Police (AP) officer was caught in a brawl in the parking lot of the Blackwood Bar and Restaurant in Embakasi, and he died.

He was reportedly stabbed in the neck, causing bleeding; police said they found his body in a pool of blood.

Until his tragic death on Saturday, August 10, the officer was stationed at the Administration Police head office in Jogoo House.
