The stranded father said he was ready to accept the incident's outcome even as he sought his son's whereabouts.
"We do not know where he is until now. People are visiting to console me, and we have several challenges, especially me. Losing my son, who was the firstborn and was 13," he heartbreakingly shared.
The 37-year-old said he took his son to school to get education and paid his school fees in difficulties.
The hopeless father said he sacrificed a lot, including fasting, to pay school fees for his teenage son.
"We have been asked to go to Naromoru Level 4 Hospital, Nyeri county, to provide DNA samples for identification. We ask the government to help us because we are hopeless," he added.
As Kelvin's family seeks answers, like many other families, they also want justice for their beloved kin.
"The dormitory had no matron, security, or security lights. So we ask ourselves many questions, wondering who has failed in their job. As parents, we have done our part and paid the school fees. The school will answer us," he stated.
In another story, a video shared online captured a poignant scene where an unidentified group attempted to offer food to the distraught parents.
The parents in a group were visibly emotional as they anxiously awaited news about the whereabouts of their children.
One mother, overwhelmed with grief, rejected the food offer, expressing her anguish over the search for her child.
Her emotional breakdown, as she covered her face, led other parents who sat behind her to join in the collective mourning.
