He claimed that when the government proposed a new taxation on sanitary pads, it took a young man to raise the alarm, not woman reps, as should have been expected.
"Do you know who discovered that sanitary pads were being taxed in the Finance Bill 2024? It was a man who discovered it. A young man called Ben. Not Esther Passaris. Where was the women's rep? It was a man. They won't be there in 2028," he said.
Eric was speaking during the launch of a referendum drive to cut down elective offices.
He claimed that the current leaders take more than they give to Kenyans.
The comedian is pushing for the abolition of several political positions through the referendum, including the woman rep seat, reducing the number of governors from 47 to 8, and eliminating positions like MCAs and senators.
Earlier, the comedian asserted that Kenya has no true leaders in an interview on Radio Maisha.
He categorised public figures into three distinct groups: politicians, leaders, and freedom fighters.
Eric elaborated on what he believes defines a true leader, citing former United States president Barack Obama and Kenya’s late president Mwai Kibaki as examples.
He praised both men for their leadership qualities and compared them to the current situation in Kenya.
He specifically doubted Raila Odinga's abilities, describing him not as a leader but as a freedom fighter.
Additionally, he labelled President William Ruto as merely a politician rather than a leader.
