Why Kenyan woman can't let house help serve hubby

In an interview with Dr Ofweneke, Hildah also shared that she does not allow her help to clean her bedroom as it is a sacred place for her and her husband.

"In my home, I make sure anything to do with my man is me. I have to ensure that my husband's clothes are ironed. My house manager can cook, because of course there are times I am busy, running up and down, so she can cook. But now, when it comes to serving my husband, that is my job. It is not her job," she said.

Hidlah further admitted that she makes plans in case she won't be home to ensure she still does her duties for her man.

"In case I am not home and my husband is home, I ensure that food is on the plate. When my husband is ready to eat, they warm it for him because I know and understand my husband, and I know the portion he needs and how he wants to be served," she added.

She also explained that she only lets her house help clean her bedroom to a certain place as the rest of the room is out of bounds.

Why women shouldn't submit to all men

In a separate report, a woman identified as Yvonne Kontoz sparked a debate on traditional gender roles within marriages while challenging the conventional expectations placed on women.

Kontoz asserted that demanding submission from wives should be contingent upon husbands providing for the family.

Her opinion resonated with many, igniting discussions about the evolving dynamics of relationships and the expectations placed on individuals.
