American billionaire Elon Musk has launched Starlink Mini, a new satellite internet package in Kenya.

Starlink announced that the plan will cost KSh 1,300 per month and offer high-speed internet at home and on the go.

The SpaceX subsidiary also lowered the hardware kit price for Starlink Mini to KSh 27,000.

The plan also offers a residential lite package at KSh 4000 per month.

Musk's Starlink Mini promise to Kenyans

In June 2024, a section of Kenyans reached out to the techpreneur via X, his social media platform, urging him to give another offer following an internet outage from broadband providers.

Musk assured them of a new package dubbed Starlink Mini, saying it will be rolled out before the end of the year.

Starlink entered the Kenyan market in July 2023 and has since given local internet service providers a run for their money.
