Kiambu: 16-Year-Old High School Student Disappears After Being Dropped To School By Dad

• Wayne Ng'ang'a Waithaka's father dropped him off at Githiga High School, only for him to disappear
• CCTV footage captured him at an ATM machine withdrawing the pocket money deposited in his account
• He may have intentionally skipped school, as he had confided in friends about his desire to transfer

Wayne Ng'ang'a Waithaka, a 16-year-old student at Githiga High School in Kiambu County, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances.

The teenager was last seen on August 28, after his father dropped him off at school.

Waithaka's aunt, Dolly Murithi, told TUKO.co.ke that the youngster never signed into school that day.

The missing teen was later seen at a KCB ATM, where he withdrew the money deposited in his account as pocket money.

"He left home in school uniform but he was dressed in casual clothes while at the ATM," she said.

It is believed that Waithaka may have intentionally skipped school, as he had confided in friends about his desire to transfer from Githiga.

The disappearance was promptly reported to Githiga Police Station, and efforts are ongoing to locate the missing teenager.

Authorities and the family appeal to the public for any information about his whereabouts.
