Kwale County Announces 37 Vacant Positions For Community Health Nurses, Other Positions

• Kwale county government advertised several job openings on its website and asked applicants to apply by September 19

Kwale county government has announced 37 job openings for positions spanning various fields.

How to apply for Kwale county jobs

The coastal devolved unit advertised the vacancies on its website and asked qualified candidates to submit their applications by Thursday, September 19.

"All applications should be submitted on or before Thursday, September 19, 2024, by 4:30pm in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the left side the category (position) which they fall and addressed to the board secretary/CEO Kwale County Public Service Board," the advert read.

"The terms of service are permanent and pensionable," it added.

Which jobs did Kwale county advertise?

1. Medical officers (five positions)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from a university recognised by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
• Completed a one-year internship at a recognised institution.

2. Kenya registered community health nurses (20 positions)

Qualifications:

• Diploma in nursing.
• Hold a valid practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

3. Pharmacist

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Hold a Pharmacy and Poisons Board registration certificate and completed a one-year internship.

4. Radiographers (three posts)

Qualifications:

• Diploma in radiography or medical imaging sciences.
• Certificate in computer applications.

5. Assistant health records & information management officer

Qualifications:

• Diploma in health records and Information Technology (IT).
• Certificate in computer applications.

6. Assistant physiotherapist

Qualifications:

• Diploma in physiotherapy and certificate of registration from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
• Certificate in computer applications.

7. Pharmaceutical technologists (three posts)

Qualifications:

• Diploma in pharmacy.
• Hold a valid practising licence from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

8. Registered clinical officer - one-year contract renewable

Qualifications:

• Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery.
• Registration certificate from Clinical Officers Council.

9. Chief assistant film officer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education (literature/arts/humanities).
• At least three years of experience as a senior assistant film officer.

Which jobs did Kenya Airways advertise?

In other news, Kenya Airways advertised several vacancies on its website and asked applicants to apply through its career portal by September 19.

Most vacant positions invited applications from graduate engineers from recognised universities in Kenya.

Meanwhile, hundreds of passengers were left stranded on Wednesday at JKIA as airport workers went on strike over the proposed Adani Group takeover.
