Panic arose in Limuru after a human finger and other body parts were discovered at a dumpsite.

How were the Limuru body parts found?

Area residents reported that the man who allegedly threw the garbage bag containing the body parts ran off immediately after dumping it at the site.

Speaking to NTV, one resident mentioned that those who collect garbage from the dumpsite found a human finger, minced meat, and other body parts.

Residents also urged the government to conduct further investigations to determine whether someone had been killed or tortured in the area.

"They should carry out investigations so we should know if someone has been killed, or has lost their finger," one resident said.

They also claimed that the bones and body parts found at the dumpsite were of human, urging that investigations be conducted swiftly.

In a separate incident, a section of Mukuru Kwa Njenga locals revealed the circumstances that surrounded the discovery of bodies in a quarry in the early morning of Friday, July 12.

On the morning of Friday, reports of bodies stashed in sacks emerged and left the country in utter shock, with calls for justice and answers trailing after the grim discovery.

A man who claimed to be part of those who retrieved the bodies claimed that he saw a female and male body during the operation.

The locals said they were disappointed by the police with whom they engaged in running battles as they were retrieving the bodies.

All the bodies were ferried to the City Mortuary for postmortem and identification.

A preliminary probe by the DCI indicated the deceased were executed by the tormentors using a similar mode.
