A Maseno University girl has delighted Kenyans on TikTok after displaying her ample shopping after receiving her Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) money for the new semester.

The excited campus girl went on a shopping spree after receiving her HELB allocation, which allowed her to buy enough food to last her this new semester.

In a funny TikTok video that got the attention of many, the student shared a photo of her shopping, saying she was not set to kickstart the new quarter.

According to the video, the young lady had bought packets of milk, maize flour, noodles, drinks, and other food items.

"This semester, I can now focus on learning. I must get a first class," she said in the funny clip.

Chuka University student uses HELB to build himself a house

As this Maseno girl decides to use her HELB to fulfil her needs, another campus man decided to use the allocation to build himself a house.

The Chuka University student from Laikipia county wowed Kenyans after showing them the Mabati house he built using a KSh 120,000 student loan.

TUKO.co.ke reached out to the young man who said he thought it wise to build a house with his HELB loan as his parents were committed to paying his school fees.

The new homeowner advised his fellow students to use the HELB money wisely as they must repay it.
