Amidst concerns that President William Ruto is relaunching ghost projects, senior government officials will inspect development programmes countrywide.
The director of communications for the National Government Coordination Secretariat (NGCS), Andrew Teyie, announced on Monday, September 9, that the Interior Ministry and the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary would work together to carry out the inspection from September 10, 2024, to September 14, 2024.
According to Citizen Digital, the inspection teams will start in the Eastern and Coast regions and then move on to the North Eastern, Nairobi, Central, Rift Valley, Nyanza, and Western regions.

The Standard reported that Special Economic Zones (SEZs) at Dongo Kundu and Athi River will be evaluated.

In another story, lawyer Morara Kebaso took his inspection tour to Nyeri county where he discovered the idle Githiru Police Post.
The post was built to standard with offices, cells, and an armoury but had no police officers or suspects.
Morara claimed he visited the post to report acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli for refusing to honour court summons.
The activist announced he acquired a van to mount a public address system, boosting his nationwide rallies.
