Burton King, the gospel singer and worship leader behind the song Naomba Niwe Baraka, was ordained into the office of worship minister and clergy.
The ordination ceremony, conducted by Bishop Tom Ocholi in Tassia, Nairobi, was attended by Burton's fans, friends, and notable figures.
Other guests included Pastor Tumaini, Presenter Kai, Sammy G, Felix Omondi, and Trudy Kitui.
Arguably, the most notable attendee was Dr Ezekiel Mutua, CEO of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK).

In his speech, Dr Mutua encouraged Burton to "find a good wife" to support the growth of his ministry.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Burton expressed how emotional he was to have Mutua present.
"It was very fulfilling and humbling, especially on such a special day for me, I felt so honoured," he said.
Burton reiterated that the ordination began a new chapter in his spiritual journey.
"I have been ushered into a new territory of ministry and given a new mandate, conferred to me through the proper channel of a fully registered ministry and a licensed minister," he said.
When asked why he pursued ordination, Burton explained that his goal was to inspire other musicians.
"I want to prove that it is possible to serve as a worship minister without the need to open a church or engage in conflicts with spiritual leaders," he said.
Bishop Ocholi, whom Burton regards as his spiritual father, describes Burton as obedient, loyal, and a man after God's heart.
He likened him to David from the Bible, emphasizing their close relationship, which has remained strong for years.
The bishop highlighted this dynamic as a model for young musicians who often face conflicts between their ministerial duties and their relationships with pastors.
“This is an example of a pattern that many young musicians can follow to achieve their God-given dreams,” said Bishop Ocholi.
In February, the songwriter declared interest in becoming the president's son-in-law.
He told TUKO.co.ke that he likes the young, beautiful woman because he believes she is mature and focused.
Perhaps it is time for him to heed Mutua's advice and revisit his dream of marrying Charlene Ruto.
