A Nairobi man, Arthur Iravonga, is over the moon after a young man he took under his wings after he (the young man) lost his dad graduated from the National Youth Service (NYS).

The young man was among the latest NYS cohort to be celebrated for their perseverance and patriotism at a colourful graduation ceremony.

What happened to Mcoast's parents?

In a touching Facebook post, Iravonga shared that the young man he referred to as Mcoast lost his father when he was younger, and sadly, his mum went missing.

"This is my late cousin's firstborn son. After the death of the father, his mother went missing, and I decided to start supporting him to make sure he is safe and stable for the rest of the siblings who might be depending on him," said Iravonga.
"Congratulations on your graduation, Mcoast. Godspeed is all we want," he added jubilantly.

Iravonga told TUKO.co.ke that he wanted the boy to get more education and would still hold his hand.

"Sky is the limit, we can access what seemed to be impossible in our childhood," said Iravonga.
