He is accused of assaulting and killing a five-year-old girl, Alice Ayuma, before dumping the body in a maize plantation in the Mwangaza area.
The little girl's body bore marks of a brutal assault, presumably with a rungu.
Later, the young man attacked and killed Virginia Njeri Mwangi at the Menengai prayer cave.
In Kalyet village, 34-year-old Florence Mueni Mwalimu was struck down, and her body discarded in a bush.
Another woman, Vellah Moraa Mogambi, was killed on the railway line at Baraka Estate.
Kwame denied all the charges in his name.
The state prosecution objected to the accused person's request for a bond, and the court set October 15 as the date for mentioning the case.
Kwame would not be the first young Kenyan to be accused of multiple murders.
In 2021, Masten Wanjala, a Bungoma native, was apprehended in connection with the murder of 13 children in Nairobi.
Upon his arrest, the young man, who was later killed by irate members of the public, led police to where the decomposing bodies of his victims were.
One of the bodies was found dumped near Kabete Approved School, while the other was collected from a thicket near Spring Valley in Westlands, all in Nairobi county.
The suspect confessed to killing and burying the minors in shallow graves in different parts of Nairobi.
