The survey conducted through telephonic interviews has a confidence level of 95% with a +/-3 error margin.
Another recent survey showed that former CS Fred Matiang'i would likely defeat opposition leader Raila Odinga if elections were held today.
The poll further stated that the majority of its respondents would have preferred a new presidential candidate.
Research 8020 reported that Matiang'i had gained considerable popularity, surpassing notable political figures such as Raila and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
