Ngenia High School Boys are set to represent Kenya at the East Africa Music Competitions in Uganda after winning at the national drama festivals in Kenya.

How did Ngenia High School boys take top spot?

According to NTV, Ngenia is the only school that will represent Kenya in Uganda. They will perform three songs, and the competition will take one week.

According to the headteacher of the school, Paul Warutere, they have been successful because of the Competency-based Curriculum (CBC).

"We are thankful to God because it has opened borders where we believe we are going to compete favourably well, with other giants from East Africa," said Warutere.
"It was the first time for them to be chosen to go and represent the country," said Alvin Asuza.

Friends School Senende excites Kenyans with song

In another story, talented Friends School Senende boys excited Kenyans with an electric performance of the popular Sansa Ya Papier song by the late Madilu System.

The young boys performed the song at the Kenya National Music Festivals and won in their genre; they were later called to perform for President William Ruto at the state lodge in Eldoret.

Netizens thronged online platforms to praise the boys, who were hailed as kings of the category as they have been winning for a long time.
