Did Njugush wet bed in high school?

"Another trauma is wetting the bed. There is a video I shared recently about bedwetting, and it is giving trauma. The trauma we have grown up with. First, bed wetting is frowned upon. You don't want your friends to know that you wet the bed. When the mattress is new, I don't like the paper that comes with it because it reminds me that my bed was always like that. Then there were sleeping clothes. You cannot sleep in your Sunday best because you would wake up wet. This was a journey. While at home, you would just remove your mattress. I wet my bed until high school," the funnyman said.

Celestine also talked about her experience, saying that she had promised not to beat her kids if they were bedwetters.

"Me too. I wet my bed until form two. I had even said if my kid wet the bed, I would not quarrel with them. I wet the bed so much and I started boarding in class four. In class, it could rain, and someone would shout, 'teacher, teacher, the matresses.' It was a mixed school, do you think you would get out? It would get rained on while in class. At night, you would sleep on it while wet," Njugush's wife added.

Why Celestine is glad son does not wet bed

Njugush opened up about his high school experience, saying he was ashamed to remove his mattress to dry.

He quipped about sleeping on a new mattress after joining high school, knowing he would drown it in pee.

"If you thought removing your mattress after wetting the bed was trouble, let me tell you about high school. I remember in form one, you wet the bed, and you're now a man. There is no more painful feeling than sleeping on a new mattress and knowing you will drown it in pee. They made a mistake and placed me on the upper bed, and the first day, the person sleeping under me lamented. He complained so much. The first day, I did not remove my mattress to dry," Njugush added.

The comedian's wife said she was glad her son Tugi does not wet the bed, revealing that her mum bought a new mattress every term.

"My mum bought a mattress every term. I am so happy Tugi does not wet the bed," Celestine said.

Njugush recalled a time when his friend gave him a mattress to care for, and after wetting the bed, he was forced to wash it.

"I have a friend who was chased home for lack of fees, and he brought me his mattress since he was fearful it would get stolen. Something told me I would not wet the bed; that time, I released everything. I had to wash it so that he wouldn't know," Njugush said.

Njugush talks of primary school crush

During the same podcast segment, the funnyman revealed that he had a crush named Catherine, whom he thought he would marry.

The comedian even sang a love song to his former crush, leaving his wife surprised.

He added the girl had no idea he was a bed-wetter.
