NYS Announces 215 Jobs Opportunities For Its Graduates Including Drivers, How To Apply

Nairobi - The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced several job opportunities for its graduates.

Which jobs did NYS advertise for graduates?

On Saturday, September 21, NYS said it was seeking to recruit 215 graduates as drivers (10), Tuktuk riders and data entry clerks (200).

According to the advert, the client for the driver and Tuk Tuk rider positions is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial products.

"Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial products has opportunities for National Youth Service-trained drivers/Tuktuk riders to be engaged in their transport and logistics department," NYS stated.

Candidates for the driver positions must be NYS graduates aged 30 or older, hold a valid driving license and Certificate of Good Conduct, and have at least three years of manual driving experience.

Tuk-tuk riders must be NYS graduates aged 27 years and above, hold a valid Driving License Class G & F, have at least three years of delivery experience, and possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

NYS revealed that its client for the data entry positions was an IT company specialising in information and content management.

"With a rich history and a highly motivated workforce operating in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, our client, an IT company specializing in providing information and content management, has vacant positions for data entry clerks who wish to hire National Youth Service graduates at entry level to join their talent," NYS remarked.

Candidates must be NYS graduates aged 18-27 with a Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology or a business-related field.

They should possess strong data entry and computer operation skills, along with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

The deadline for the applications will be on September 24, 2024.

Which jobs did MKU advertise?

Elsewhere, Mount Kenya University (MKU) announced several job vacancies at its main campus in Thika.

The open positions include Tutorial Fellow roles in Journalism, Mass Communication, and Electrical Engineering, along with Lecturer positions in Nursing and Engineering

Administrative roles such as Accountant, Internal Security Supervisor, and Examinations Officer are also available
