Nairobi - Apostle James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Centre has issued a stern message to residents of the Mt Kenya region who are against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
During a packed service, Ng'ang'a expressed his discontent with those calling for Gachagua’s removal.
He appealed to the residents to let the DP smoothly complete his five-year term before unseating him.

"So, people from the mountain, I hear you want to remove Gachagua... eh. Didn’t I hear that you want to remove Gachagua?" Ng'ang'a questioned, addressing the congregation. "Why are you digging into him? Why are you people from the mountain digging into Gachagua? Just let him finish his five years... eh," Ng'ang'a said.
The outspoken preacher went further, declaring that anyone opposed to the deputy president should refrain from attending his church.
Ng'ang'a urged the residents to look for other methods rather than dumping the second in command.
"Don’t come here again, to this church. If you remove him, don’t come here. This Sunday, no one from the mountain will enter. Don’t come here this Sunday. Solve your problems slowly," Ng'ang'a said emphatically.
He also warned the congregation about trusting politicians, describing them as deceptive.
“And you know these politicians, let me tell you people from Mt Kenya, ask me because I’m here. I’m here spiritually, I can see. Politicians are liars; conmen,” Ng'ang'a added, urging the region's residents to be cautious.
Ng'ang'a's sentiment comes amid rising political tensions in Mt Kenya, with some leaders publicly voicing their dissatisfaction with Gachagua's leadership.
Elsewhere, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah warned Gachagua against using his push for Mt. Kenya unity for personal gain.
The two have been at odds, with their differing views causing friction among Kenya Kwanza leaders.
Speaking in Meru on Sunday, September 9, Ichung’wah accused Gachagua of promoting Mt Kenya unity only when seeking personal benefits that do not serve the region or the nation.
