Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that he is not worry about opposition leader Raila Odinga joining the Kenya Kwanza government.
While speaking at the funeral of the former NACADA CEO Victor Okioma in Trans Nzoia county, Gachagua dismissed concerns that Raila's collaboration with President William Ruto would impact his position in the government.
"I am an old metal. I am in the government. Didn't I fight for this government? There's no way I can move even an inch," Gachagua asserted.

He reiterated that including new people in the Kenya Kwanza government can not displace those already there.
He affirmed his support for Raila's involvement in the government, stating that it has contributed to uniting the country.
"We have welcomed those that the president has brought into the government so we can start working together," he said.
The deputy president reiterated that any plans to displace him from the government would fail, as he remains strong.
This followed remarks by DAP-Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa, who appeared to caution Gachagua about ODM members who recently joined the government after leaving the opposition.
"Mr Rigathi we have been left in darkness by those who left. They can do the same to you," Wamalwa said.
In a separate incident, Gachagua issued a new directive to members of the Raila-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party who joined the government.
He told ODM party members to support what he said going forward as they are currently working with the government.
He also expressed satisfaction that the party has members in the government, as it aids in uniting the people.
He also welcomed them into the government, asserting that they should now work together to advance the country.
