Why Safaricom subscriber lamented

In a Facebook post, the user, identified as Nicz Mtetezi, questioned the company, wondering why it had scrapped multiple offers to customers.

"Dear Safaricom PLC mlitoa offer ya 2bob 100mbs nikanyamaza...mkatoa offer ya KSh 5, 250mbs nikanyamaza....mkalimit reverse call nikanyamaza tu...alafu sai mmetoa KSh 10, 500mbs na mnataka ninyamaze," he lamented.

While responding to Mtetezi, Safaricom explained that the offers keep changing occasionally.

It noted that the process was automated and dynamic.

"Hello, Nicz; apologies for the inconvenience. Please note that Tunukiwa offers are dynamic. Offers keep changing periodically, and the process is automated. When you dial the procedure to purchase, you can only select from the offers available on the list presented at the time," it stated.

Why another Kenyan confronted Safaricom

Elsewhere, a Kenyan identified as Collins Kiplagat claimed that whenever he buys the Safaricom hourly bundle, the network becomes unstable for 58 minutes.

Kiplagat confronted the telco over alleged network failure every time he purchased the 1GB hourly data bundle.

While responding to the frustrated subscriber, the telecommunications company regretted the inconvenience he experienced.

Why Safaricom apologised to another customer

Safaricom also apologised to a customer who sent money to the wrong M-Pesa account and failed to get all his money back.

Lameck Leshao lamented to the telco after the recipient withdrew some of the money he sent accidentally.

In a comment on Facebook, the subscriber decried the turn of events that left him with just KSh 30. Safaricom asked him to report the incident to the police.

Safaricom limits reverse calls

In a separate story, a customer identified as John Lee on Facebook asked why Safaricom reduced the frequency of free reverse calls.

The telecommunications company noted the service was prone to abuse.

The reverse call feature helps Safaricom subscribers complete calls or request one in cases of limited or zero airtime.
