Renowned pastor Solomon Lange has stirred the internet after saying that he regrets having a colourful traditional wedding and a white one, which cost a lot of money.
The Nigerian preacher, who married a strikingly beautiful wife, said that had he known what he knows today, he would not have held a white wedding.
"If my wife wanted to wear a white gown that day that we went to her village in Nwagwu and her dad handed her to me, she would have won her traditional dress then go back inside and wear her wedding one. I would not have spent money for two weddings...why?" lamented the preacher.

"So we do our own traditional wedding, then save up money to celebrate European traditional wedding. A wedding is between parents; they come together, invite me, and I will join and marry you. Those ready for weddings, come on a Sunday like this, and I will join you, then we will tell everybody to go to their houses and eat as they think about you," he added.

"I have always been saying this is how a wedding should be, and it used to look like I am a weird person, but now another person is talking about it. This is the simple truth. People go dey pressure themselves for nothing. Wedding is a family affair simple, do am for the parlour."
ezinnenwanyioma:
"Dr Damina said this and people got angry. Eyes are opening."
incarnateword32:
"Oga shut up! It's not called a white wedding. It's called a church wedding; we are Christians. If you really want to drive this point home as an African, first of all remove the clothes you are wearing now. It's not African attires. The microphone you are using is not from Africa."
estherolukokun:
"Exactly what we did myself and my husband. There was no stress, no unnecessary spending, and everything was well-planned."
nana_homemadefoods;
"I can’t believe I heard you say this, isn’t about parents, my spiritual parents has to do spiritual counseling, physical counseling, emotional counseling, I don't blame you."
akinseloyin99:
"Misleading people in the name of preaching, did any pastors force you to go to the church? You want to marry someone's daughter, and you want to determine the terms of how they must celebrate their daughter, the bride's family determine how they will do their thing; if you are not ready to do what the parents want, go and marry elsewhere."
Another story revealed John Allan Namu wedded the love of his life in 2010. They had a star-studded flashy wedding which he says in retrospect he regrets.
The media personality disclosed that there was a lot of internal and external pressure to execute a big wedding and invite many people.
Namu disclosed that it took him time to pay back his wedding loan, and the money he used on the wedding would have helped him and his wife, Makena, grow as a couple.
