Parents of a young boy identified as Joel Johanes are devastated after he went missing under mysterious circumstances when scaling a hill for practical sessions.
According to the school in Bagara, Tanzania, Joel left for the activity with 102 students and a few teachers.
When they reached the area, they were divided into three groups. After a few minutes, they lost sight of each other in the forest with wild animals.

Speaking to Gadi TV, the father of the young boy said: "We got a call at 6pm from the school, and we were told that our son went missing from the mountain. We left for the area and joined the search for our beloved son.
"We met a woman who said she saw the young man going down the hill on his own, and he took another road. The following day, we visited the school because we thought the teachers were not taking the matter seriously," he added.
"We went and reported the matter to the police, and they said they had been waiting for me.
"I told the teachers I don't understand them. I want my child when he is alive; he is my only son. The teachers and headteacher are very lazy and should be accountable," said the heartbroken dad.
"Teachers should be more responsible when taking care of these kids," added the mother.
In another story, the family of Travis Kariuki, who studied at Hillside Endarasha Academy, shared that he went missing on the day a school dormitory went up in flames.
According to his aunt Anne, when the news broke, she sent her father and brother to go and look for him, and they learnt that he made it outside the gate but later disappeared.
The young boy lost both his parents years back, and families from both sides shared that neither the school nor the police had given them any information.
