He said:
"I have received so many phone calls, and many of my people have been worried, in shock and tears, even those outside the country. Those are false stories. I am very well and alive. There is nothing that pains me, and I am completely okay. I want people to know that I am okay and doing fine."
He faulted those who started the rumours that he was involved in an accident and maintained that God's power covered him.

Earlier, the Tanzanian singer's family and friends of Bongo asked members of the public to contribute towards his medical bill.
Jay was in critical condition at the Muhimbili Hospital in Tanzania and his state was not improving as fast as the family wished.
He was, however, discharged from the hospital after 127 days, with his family denying that he lost his memory.
